Our Sign Gets a Makeover

As reported in a 2008 Newsletter

Our entrance sign on Devon Road was looking kind of lost; in fact you could hardly see it with all the overgrown shrubs in front.  So a group of us got together and cleaned up the area.  We pruned the holly trees for now and removed the shrubs.

Our final goal was to repair the sign.  As you can see we accomplished our goal.  Our neighbor, Jerry Liguori, stained the wood and repainted the letters.  We built new supports to hold the sign in place.  You can see some of this in the pictures Henry Simpson took as we put the sign in place.
All our efforts, and many of you have thanked us, have been cost free labor. In addition, our neighbors Henry Simpson and Jim Fiest donated their vehicles to haul away the debris, and the cost to dump it at the land fill.  Our intention is to continue to work at a no cost level whenever possible.
