Snow Storm Story

"Jim Feist clears the way"
as told by Joan Williamson

At our Board meeting on March 17, 2010, we were able to present to a neighbor, Jim Feist, a thank you card filled with over $200 worth of donations in the form of cash and gift cards for his ultimate efforts to shovel out 4 streets and many driveways during our Back to Back Blizzards.

Jim, with the help of his "little" 4 wheel Polaris, worked throughout both storms.  But during the second storm, Jim plowed up and down Lancaster, Sherbrooke, Pembroke, and Point Drive.  Thursday morning early he and his dad Duke were back at it again, but not only did they plow streets, but many stopped them and asked for their driveways to be cleared as well. Because of Jim's efforts, those streets were all very passable by Thursday afternoon.

Although many offered, Jim refused neighbors efforts to compensate him.  While I was walking through our neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, some of those same neighbors approached me and asked if I could start a collection - In fact they sort of told me!!  I did and we gave Jim those contributions.  Please see the two pictures we took of Jim and his wife Linda in my dining room receiving our compliments and cards.   Thank you Jim!
